VOLLEYBALL FESTIVAL (JUNE) COMPETITION INFO
2023 PLAYING SCHEDULE & RESULTSSession 1: 12s & 13s - June 18-20: 8am (12s); 3pm (13s)
- June 21: 12s done by 3pm; 13s done by 6pm

- June 22 - 24: 8am (14s & 17/18s); 3pm (15s & 16s)
- June 25: 14s & 17/18s done by 3pm; 15s and 16s done by 6pm

FORMAT- Modified Festival Format. All teams play all 4 days of the event.
- All teams play between 9 and 14 matches, unless they've elected to not play all days of the event.
- All teams play at least 2 matches on Day 4.
- First 3 rounds are pool play, Days 4 is either pool play or bracket play depending how team has performed.
- All matches best of 3 sets (2 sets to 25, deciding set to 15)
- No Tie-Break matches or sets will be played.
- View 2023 Tie-Break Procedures.
- Teams have normal officiating assignments.
- 2nd Referee must be a Qualified Adult Coach or Assistant Coach.
- Players call 2 lines and keep score (flip score, BallerTV iPad, scoresheet and libero tracking).

- All matches are at the Phoenix Convention Center.
- Schedules & Results posted on AES.
- Rosters limited to 3 coaches, 15 players and 1 chaperone (all must have AAU memberships).
- No attendance limits for Parents/Spectators.
SEEDING REQUESTIf you are a team outside the Arizona Region or haven't played in any events where your results are available in AES, please fill out our SEEDING REQUEST FORM (link coming soon) to help us properly seed your team into the event. Forms submitted by end of day Thursday, June 16, 2022 will be considered. Day 1 schedules will be available on AES by end of day Friday, June 16 (Session 1, 12-13s) and Tuesday, June 20 (Session 2, 14-18s).
TEAM CHECK-INTeam Check-in for 2023 is modified to incorporate a drive-thru for more convenience.

Roster verification and changes will be done on the phone prior to onsite Team Check-In. Any missing rosters after June 11 are subject to a $25 roster change fee.
A Festival Staff member will verify: - That you have Medical Release Forms for all Players
- That your AES roster is correct and that AAU numbers show "verified" (use AAU Import quick link on AES).
- If AAU numbers are not showing "verified," one of these three forms of verification are acceptable:
- AAU membership card copy; or
- AAU Club Listing (generated from AAU website Club Director Account); or
- AAU Team roster (generated from AAU website Club Director Account).
- All Chaperones have a "verified" AAU number.
- Only individuals on the AES Team Roster with verified AAU numbers will receive credentials for admittance to the playing areas.
- Parents/Spectators may register for 4-Day Event Passes online using their Team Code. Team Codes and instructions have been emailed to all clubs/teams. Registered Event Pass holder credentials will be included in each Team's Registration bag. It is the responsibility of the clubs/teams to distribute credentials to Event Pass holders.
- Onsite Ticket Sales begin 10am, June 17.

There is NO Late Team check-in. All teams must check-in during one of the above time periods. If a team does not check in, they will be removed from the tournament.
Online Team Check-In Booking Instructions: - Click the “Book Now” tab on the "SimplyBook.me" homepage
- Select Session #1 (12s & 13s) or Session #2 (14s-18s)
- You can only check-in 12s and 13s teams on June 17. All other teams must be checked inn on June 20 or 21.
- Select the time slot you want for Team Check-In
- When filling in details use the Age Division, Club Name, and Team Name exactly as it appears on your AES Event Roster.
- If checking in multiple teams at once, make sure to list ALL teams and age divisions.
- A confirmation email with your selected time and form details will be sent.
- Make sure to check your "spam" folder if you don't see your confirmation email.
- To change or cancel your reserved time slot, use the CANCEL button on your confirmation email.
- If you cannot make your check-in time reservation, make sure to change or cancel it so it becomes available for other teams, and we can staff appropriately.
Please note the following: - No roster changes will be on site at Team Check-In. Verify your online AES Event Roster is correct. If changes are needed, email them to info@volleyball-festival.com by June 15.
- Wristbands will also be sold onsite.
- ONLY 12s and 13s teams can check in on June 17 for Session #1. All other teams must check-in on June 20 or 22.
AAU MEMBERSHIP

The Volleyball Festival is a licensed AAU event. All participating clubs, athletes and non-athlete adults on a team roster must be AAU members.

PRACTICE TIMES - Saturday, June 17 (4pm - 8pm)
- Lower Level Halls 4-5, Phoenix Convention Center
- Time slots are 60 min.

SESSION 2 (14-18s)- Wednesday, June 21 (10am - 6:15pm)
- Upper Level Exhibit Halls A-E, Phoenix Convention Center.
- Time slots are 60 min., EXCEPT the last 3 practice slots are 45 min.

Check in 15 min prior to your scheduled time at the Exhibit Hall Tournament Desk.
Out of town team may request to check out a bag of 6 balls for the entire tournament HERE.
Balls are available on a first come, first serve basis. We will confirm your request by June 10. Once confirmed you will be charged $250. You can pay via Venmo, PayPal or credit card. Balls will be ready for your assigned Team Check-in time at the Phoenix Convention Center (June 17 for 12s/13s, June 20-21 for 14s-18s). Once returned to the West Meeting Room 102A at the Convention Center at the end of the tournament, your $250 will be refunded less $40 per any un-returned balls.
A max of two Age Waivers are allowed per team. For more details or to submit an online Age Waiver Request. - 12 Club: Must be born on or after July 1, 20010 (Can't turn 13 before July 1, 2023)
- 13 Club: Must be born on or after July 1, 2009 (Can't turn 14 before July 1, 2023)
- 14 Club & 13/14 Open: Must be born on or after July 1, 2008 (Can't turn 15 before July 1, 2023)
- 15 Club: Must be born on or after July 1, 2007 (Can't turn 16 before July 1, 2023)
- 16 Club & 15/16 Open: Must be born on or after July 1, 2006 (Can't turn 17 before July 1, 2023)
- 17/18 Club: Must be born on or after July 1, 2004 OR born on or after July 1, 2003 AND be a high school student (12th grade or below) during some part of the current academic year.
OFFICIAL BALLThe New Baden VX550 All American is the Official Ball of the 2023 Volleyball Festival. The VX450 u12 light is used for the 12u division.
