Athletic Trainers

Dear Athletic Trainer, Athletic Training Student, or Athletic Training Student Aide:

The Volleyball Festival provides an excellent opportunity for athletic trainers (ATs) and students to get hands-on experience in event medicine. We provide care for over 800 teams from the United States, Canada, Mexico, and other countries.

The tournament is held at the Phoenix Convention Center in Phoenix, AZ. The competition dates are:

  • 11s-13s: Sunday, June 21 through Wednesday, June 24, 2026
  • 14s-18s: Thursday, June 25 through Sunday, June 28, 2026

We will select a staff of approximately 20 ATs and 15 ATSs to provide medical care under the supervision of an outstanding group of ATs and our Medical Director, Dr. John Kearney. These professionals have a wide range of knowledge and experiences in sports medicine.

Our updated compensation rates are:

  • ATs: $35.00 per hour
  • ATSs currently enrolled in an accredited athletic training program:
    • $750 per 4-day tournament (June 21-24 & June 25-28)
  • Athletic training student aides:
    • $400 per 4-day tournament (June 21-24 & June 25-28)

We will provide hotel rooms for accepted out-of-state applicants and parking garage passes for commuting applicants. We will also provide a daily meal stipend, uniforms, and athletic training supplies. In the past, shifts were divided into AM and PM waves. Moving forward, please plan to work 10-12 hours per day.
